Roman + Venetian + Habsburg layers wrapped around a sound + light installation.
Zadar is a Dalmatian peninsula city — old Roman + Venetian + Habsburg layers, the Forum and St. Donatus rotunda at the centre, and two sound + light installations (the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun) on the western tip that make Zadar's sunset the canonical hour. The city is quieter than Split or Dubrovnik but increasingly visited; two nights is the right scale, with islands and Plitvice as day pivots.
